Electrical Comprehension

22 questions, 15 minutes. It starts with the basics, then conductors, then circuits and meters.

  1. Current is a flow of charge. Potential difference, or voltage, is the push. Resistance opposes the current.
  2. Copper, aluminium and iron conduct well. Rubber, glass, wood and air do not. Salt water conducts. Static builds up when insulators are rubbed together. Metals let that charge flow away.
  3. A lamp is a circle with a cross. A resistor is a rectangle. The long battery line is positive. In series there is one path, so a gap stops every lamp. In parallel, each branch has its own path.
  4. An ammeter is connected in series, so the current goes through it. A voltmeter is connected in parallel, across the component.

A to E chooses an answer. Enter moves on. You can move back. A blank scores as incorrect.
